The Focus ladder

Style, Strategy and Tactics are three tiers that depend on each other in order. This page is the map.

Every fighter on FightWise has a Focus section on their home screen. It holds three things, stacked like rungs on a ladder: their Style, their Strategy for the next fight, and the Tactics that will win moments inside it.

The order is the point. A strategy only makes sense relative to a style, and a tactic only makes sense as a tool that serves the strategy. Start at the top rung and work down; the app lights the next thing to fill in so you never have to guess where you are.

The three rungs

StyleWho the fighter is — what they tend to do in each situation of a fight, whether or not they have decided to. Changes over years, not camps. Observed and written by the coach.
StrategyHow this fight is won — the plan relative to the style, and relative to the opponent. Says when it applies and for how long.
TacticsThe tools that win moments — named techniques with a rate (how often), each backed by a card that can be drilled.

Why a coach writes the Style

A fighter is the last person to see their own habits. From the inside, a tendency feels like a choice. From the outside — from the corner, from film — it is a pattern. The coach fills in the Style as an external observer, and then makes it visible to the fighter. That act is the product's first job: it shines a light on blind spots and makes them transparent.

Once coach and fighter look at the same picture and agree it is true, everything below it gets easier. Strategy stops being an argument about who the fighter is and becomes a conversation about what to do with it.

Words wired to work

Nothing in the Focus section is a note to file away. Every tier links to the gameplan cards that serve it, so a sentence about how a fighter fights becomes a drill on a specific day. Read the Cards page for how that connection works.
